Minghua Zheng, PhD

I am an atmospheric data assimilation researcher with 5 years of experience. My current research is focused on using data assimilation tools to investigate observational impact and predictability of high-impact atmospheric rivers over the US West. I am a self-motivated and creative professional. I am looking for collaborations on this field. 
I developed an advanced data assimilation system for CW3E West-WRF model operated at Scripps Institution of Oceanography based on the GSI Hybrid 4DEnVar system. I published 19 peer-reviewed journal articles. I received the "Best student oral presentation award" at an AMS meeting in 2015.
I am skilled in numerical weather modeling, ensemble forecasting, and scientific writing.
